Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary

We took time out last weekend to visit the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Fig Tree Pocket (South Brisbane).  Unfortunately, we forgot to charge the camera before we went and didn't get very many pictures.  It was a beautiful day and a great place to visit.  This is the place I hope to be able to volunteer at.

Feeding the Lorikeets
Sheep dog hard at work
Wombat checking on visitors
Wild Kookaburra telling the captured Kookaburras what for
And the captured Kookaburras providing feedback. :)
Kookaburras are incredibly noisy.  In fact, many of the Australian birds we have seen and watched are.

BTW - While waiting for the sheep dog demonstration to begin, I was looking around and noticed Robert and I were the only 2 people in shorts and t-shirts.  Everyone else had on jackets, long sleeves and jeans.  After all, it is winter here.
