We took time out last weekend to visit the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary
in Fig Tree Pocket (South Brisbane). Unfortunately, we forgot to charge
the camera before we went and didn't get very many pictures. It was a
beautiful day and a great place to visit. This is the place I hope to
be able to volunteer at.

Kookaburras are incredibly noisy. In fact, many of the Australian birds we have seen and watched are.
BTW - While waiting for the sheep dog demonstration to begin, I was looking around and noticed Robert and I were the only 2 people in shorts and t-shirts. Everyone else had on jackets, long sleeves and jeans. After all, it is winter here.
